Deaf Action Center includes a 40-unit complex
of one- and two-bedroom apartments it manages and rents to
individuals and families with deaf or hard of hearing members.
Thirty of the 40 units are Section 8 Project-Based Certificates
through the Dallas Housing Authority. The apartments
provide a safe, supportive and cost-effective living environment,
adapted to the unique needs of deaf and hard of hearing individuals.
Many of the residents participate in various DAC programs.
DAC is also a distribution center
for the North Texas Food Bank.
