Endowments:
If you would like to be remembered in perpetuity? If so, please consider creating an endowment in your own name on behalf of the Deaf Action Center. What is an endowment? It is a donation of funds to a charitable organization, i.e. Deaf Action Center, to provide an ongoing source of income for the purposes you direct. You simply arrange with the Deaf Action Center to keep and invest your gift in a restricted account, and Deaf Action Center will use the annual income for whatever purposes you specify. Deaf Action Center would be pleased to honor your request, and we have many ways of granting appropriate recognition to you and your family. We respectfully ask you to consider an endowment to the Deaf Action Center, to continue one or all of the following services for the North Texas Deaf and Hard of Hearing:
- Apartments for Deaf & Hard of Hearing
- Advocacy & Deaf Resources
- Interpreting Services
- Education Programs
- Hard of Hearing Services
- Literacy & Independent Living Programs
- Senior Citizens Center & Senior Programs

Memorial Gifts:
A Memorial Gift is a twofold gesture. By giving a Memorial Gift to Deaf Action center, you not only honor your loved one, but you show your support for DAC and the services it provides. In recognition of your gift, Deaf Action Center is agreeable to naming a Building, Service Center, Program, Park, Courtyard, Senior Center, Grants, Scholarships, Prizes, etc., or what is agreed upon by both parties, in memory of your loved one.
Memorial Gifts can be created in many ways, through:
- Direct Gifts
- Wills
- Trusts
- Life Insurance
- IRAs
- Retirement Plans
Please don't be reluctant to condition your gift upon personal recognition. By allowing Deaf Action Center to use your name, or that of a loved one in recognition of your gift, you not only support a worthy cause, but you also inspire philanthropy in others.

Gifts of Real Estate:
Let the gift of your personal residence, farm/ranch, vacation home or condominium be a testimonial to your support of Deaf Action Center and the impact it has in our community. By deeming your home or property to us now, you can obtain a sizeable income tax deduction this year. The amount depends on the property and your age. a Retained Life Estate would be an option. If you would like to make a major contribution to Deaf Action Center, please consider the gift of real estate.
