"You Should Hear What You Are Missing,"
is a 14:30 minute video written and produced by the Hard of
Hearing Program of Deaf Action Center.
This video shows four problem situations
that hard of hearing people face and then shows the situation
with solutions to these problems. The video also shows
a variety of assistive listening and alerting devices that
people can use to help them live with their hearing loss.
The video won the Governor of Texas Committee on Disabilities
Barbara Jordan Award for people with disabilities. The
video will be placed in every library in Texas along with
a resource manual on where people can find help for their
hearing loss.
"You Should Hear What You Are Missing" is open-captioned
and also has a second version with Spanish subtitles.
